What is hydro excavation?
Hydro excavation services involve removing soil or other debris using a high-pressure water gun to cut up and soften the material, which is simultaneously removed with a large hose connected to a hydro-vacuum. The vacuum unit sucks the material into holding tank mounted on the hydrovac truck.
The hydrovac process is nondestructive to the surrounding area and is a very useful method of excavation for foundation repair, trenching, trap cleaning, and hard-to-reach places such as the inside of buildings like underground basements.
The video above is an excellent example of hydro excavation services in action.
